Fruit Tech Campus: innovation and education in the field of fruit, technology and data
Stack&Track recently visited the Fruit Tech Campus (Foundation) in Geldermalsen, an education center for the fruit sector at the initiative of the business community, education and government. Fruit Tech Campus aims to increase knowledge and skills within the fruit sector. During our visit we saw various innovations within the fruit sector, such as a machine that automatically sorts and robotically packs fruit or the application of an unmanned drone that is used for cultivation.
The innovative character of the Fruit Tech Campus fits perfectly with the vision of Stack&Track, which focuses on digitizing packaging flows. As a startup, we use our own vision technology to register packaging quickly and without errors. As a result, companies work more efficiently and save costs.
It is also possible with all data in the longer term to provide insight into the entire supply chain. Consumers increasingly want to know how fresh products are and where they come from. Stack&Track’s technology makes this possible, an important added value for growers and retailers.
Innovations
Innovations can be seen in the Innovation Hub of Fruit Tech Campus. Here, the latest technologies and experiments are used to transform the fruit sector. Technologies are applied and tested directly through surrounding orchards. Would you like to take a look at the campus? Click here

Young Fruit Pro
In addition to training, Fruit Tech Campus has a network of young professionals. This network, called Young Fruit Pro, organizes activities in the field of fruit, data and technology throughout the year. All this with a future-oriented sector as the goal. For example, the group recently met to discuss crop protection in the future of fruit cultivation and the group visited Italy for several days, where they visited nurseries and a pear orchard, among other things. Are you now a young professional and do you want to continue to develop? Perhaps this netwerk is something for you?
